Idealistic Ethereum community-built zkEVM Scroll launching in weeks
While there are currently several zero-knowledge EVMs in existence today, Scroll co-founder Ye Zhang told Cointelegraph at Token2049 that the job was “optimistic” as the group was sticking to the philosophy and the principles that Ethereum currently cultivates. Zhang stated the Scroll will release after some final testing and major tasks like Uniswap and Aave are prepared to deploy on Scroll at launch.Scroll co-founder Ye Zhang. Zhang declared that some of the other systems such as Linea have some “unverified” parts in the circuit however thinks Scroll supplies a “complete evidence” of all Ethereum “opcodes” and components of the transaction.
The EVM part makes it possible for full native compatibility with any existing Ethereum software and applications. The initial setup will still include some centralization such as sequencers, Zhang said, but the roadmap will decentralize this more over time.
