Prosecutors argue ‘effective altruism’ inadequate in Bankman-Fried case
In the fraud trial of Sam Bankman-Fried, district attorneys have requested the judge inform the jury that the accuseds assertion that he is an efficient altruist needs to not serve as a genuine defense. Bankman-Fried faces accusations of misappropriating billions of dollars from FTX customers for individual functions, such as political contributions, real estate and investments. In a letter provided on Thursday, the prosecution noted that Bankman-Frieds legal counsel sought to contend that he needs to not be charged with fraud because he had intents to repay clients through methods like FTXs growth and profitable investments. Consequently, the jury will commence considerations to determine Bankman-Frieds legal fate.Magazine: Can you rely on crypto exchanges after the collapse of FTX?
